Fabulous family event to learn all about Monarchs and other butterflies! Release a Monarch, net, tag and identify Monarchs, Face painting, kids crafts, Ask a Master Gardener how to create your own butterfly habitat, MUSIC, tour the lovely Demonstration Garden, educational programs, food and fun. Entry is free to the public, yet donations are encouraged. Butterflies will be releasedf at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Last year's festival hosted by the Lake Granbury Master Gardeners was a huge success, and an even grander event is planned for this year including the release of 200 beautiful Monarchs! Don't miss this wondrous experience in a beautiful nature setting! Winning a state award for outstanding educational program, Romancing the Monarch, combines excellent learning opportunities for adults and children alike as well as beauty and FUN for everyone!
