City Finance Dept. Recognized for Excellence
The City of Granbury is pleased to announce the City Finance Department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2015-16 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
For 16 consecutive years the City of Granbury Finance Department has received this prestigious award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment.
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure.”
“It is a great honor for our City to receive this outstanding certificate of achievement award. Our City strives to communicate its financial story and motivate our citizens to read the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report,” City of Granbury Finance Directory Eva Gregory said, “I’m extremely proud of the work of our entire City staff, and I greatly appreciate the dedication the finance department puts forth in the pursuit of transparent financial reporting. I also would like to commend the leadership of our Assistant Finance Director, Misty Shaw, who ensures that we achieve this outstanding reward each year.”
