Whether you give at a donor center or a blood drive\, every donation saves lives in your community.\n\n\n\nBlood Donation Tips\n\nIf you are in general good health\, you can most likely give blood. Healthy individuals who are at least 16 years old and 110 pounds are encouraged to give.\n\nBeginning the day before\, focus on drinking plenty of water prior to your donation. Eat a hearty meal the night before your donation and get plenty of rest. Eat a well-balanced meal one to two hours prior to donation and remember to drink water throughout the day and limit caffeine intake.
