SUMMARY:R/C OPTIMIST CLUB PARK PLAYGROUND
DESCRIPTION:Back in 1996 the Optimist Club along with the help of a Texas Parks and Wildlife grant\, provided Granbury residents a playground for children in Granbury City Park. That original playground served the community for 21 years. The City of Granbury approached the Optimist Club to inform them of the need to replace that original structure due to its age and use by many over the years. The City of Granbury Parks Department removed the old structure and the Optimist Club partnered with the city to purchase the new structure that is in place now. We had the structure installed by contractors\, the Parks Department made some updates by extending some concrete walkways into the play areas and the Optimist Club helped us spread the engineered wood fiber that surrounds the structures.\n\n\n\n\n\nRibbon cuttings are exciting events for members and the Chamber as we celebrate a new business\, new building or a new venture. The Chamber staff and our team of Ambassadors will bring our ceremonial scissors and red ribbon to welcome this member and celebrate their growing business.
