DESCRIPTION:Each year\, students in grades 3-12 in and around Hood County are invited to discover Texas history by creating research-based historical projects for the Student Texas History Fair hosted by the Texas Heroes Foundation in celebration of Texas Independence Day.\n\n2025 THEME: Rights & Responsibilities in Texas History\n\nCATEGORIES: Exhibit\, Research Paper\, Creative Writing Paper\, Performance\, and Artwork\n\n	DEADLINES:\n	\n		Creative Writing & Research Papers - electronically on the Registration Form or by Mail to Texas\n\n		Heroes Foundation Attn: Student History Fair\, P.0. Box 5356\, Granbury\, TX 76049 by 2/14/2025\n		Performing Art\, Artwork & Exhibits -in person at Acton Methodist Church 3433 Fall Creek\n\n		Hwy. either 2/23/25 from 3-5 pm or 2/24/2025 from 5-7 pm.\n	\n	\n\nAIL ENTRIES: Must complete one Registration Form per Entry (case\n\nsensitive). Limit of two entries per year in different categories.\n\n\n\nAWARDS RECEPTION and CEREMONY will be held at Acton Methodist Church on Friday\, February 28th\, starting at 5:00 pm. All entries will be available to view and vote for the People's Choice Award from 5:00-6:15 pm. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm.\n\n\n	Awards: $500 Senior Scholarship\, $100 People's Choice Award\, $100 First Place in Each Category & Division\, $75 Second Place in Each Category & Division\, $50 Third Place in Each Category & Division\, $100 Group Award in Each Category & Division\n\nAll Entries MUST be picked up by the end of the Awards Ceremony on February 28th at Acton Methodist Church.
