Flippen has spoken at a number of organizations\, including NPR and the Nixon Presidential Library\, and has written numerous books including\, "Nixon and the Environment\," Jimmy Carter\, the Politics of Family and the Rise of the Religious Right\," "Conservative Conservationist\, Russell E. Train and the Emergency of American Environmentalism."
