Four days after the nation swears in its 45th president, two Tarleton State University history professors and Star-Telegram columnist Bud Kennedy take a historical look at the 2016 election and analyze its impact on North Texas. The panel will also include Dr. Dominic Dottavio, Dr. Chris Hickman, and Dr. Michael Landis from TSU.
The event will kick off with Dr. Dottavio, with Kennedy analyzing the role of media in the campaign, Hickman comparing the recent election cycle to that of the 1968 election campaign, and Landis discussing parallels between the 2016 campaign and those of 1824.
This event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
