The National Day of Prayer was established in 1952 as an annual observance in our Nation by Congressional Resolution and Presidential Proclamation. In 1988 President Ronald Reagan fixed the Day as the first Thursday in May. Here in Hood County, the day begins with a breakfast worship and prayer gathering. This event is open to the public and is free of charge.
At lunchtime, there will be short worship and prayer gatherings at five locations around the County:
Downtown Granbury at the Courthouse Gazebo
Acton at the Tabernacle on North Gate Road
Cresson at the Historic School House
Lipan at the Tabernacle across from the Church of Christ
Tolar at the Tabernacle next to the J.D. Neely Community Center
You may bring your lunch if you would like.
