The Brazos Chamber Orchestra and the Brazos Chorus, under the Direction of Maestro David Anavitarte, is pleased to present selections from Mendelssohn’s monumental oratorio “Elijah” in Granbury, Cleburne, and Burleson, Texas. Considered to be one of the greatest of all oratorios because of its sheer power and emotion, Mendelssohn's grand and mighty composition is an epic retelling of the Old Testament’s stalwart prophet Elijah in a fast-moving story of faith, fearlessness, fight, and flight.
