Take a break from back-to-school preparations this weekend when W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas hosts its next installment of Night at the Opera House, featuring 'The Cocoanuts'. The free film party starts at 6:30 PM with the adaptation of the Marx Brothers' 1925 Broadway hit.
Shot at Paramount's Astoria Studios in Queens, N.Y., this early talkie takes place largely in the lobby of a Florida hotel during a local land boom. The Marx Brothers' peerless shtick includes the classic "viaduct" routine.
Seating is limited and reservations are requested.
