PARADE - HOMETOWN 4TH OF JULY PARADE

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Granbury Chamber's Hometown 4th of July Parade. Please read over the following information carefully before submitting your application. REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY, MAY 31st! 

REMINDERS AND GUIDELINES: 
-Let’s make it the best parade yet as we celebrate 50 Golden Years of Stars and Stripes!! ALL PARADE ENTRIES MUST be decorated with a festive Fourth of July theme to be granted entry!
 
We would love if you would join us in prioritizing FLOAT ENTRIES for our 50th Celebration!

-Date of Parade: Thursday, July 4th at 9:00AM - Kicks off from Granbury High School (2000 W Pearl Street)

  • THEME: 50 Golden Years of Stars and Stripes!
  • NEW PROCESS: This will be our second year executing the new parade process. There will be plenty of signage and volunteers to help direct you. See below for more details!
  • ARRIVAL TIME/ENTERANCE: All parade entries will be able to arrive at Granbury High School starting from 6:00 am. All entries will enter the far west side of Granbury High School.
  • DECORATION AREA: There will be a designated decoration area where you can decorate your entries. Please ensure that all entries are decorated in a Festive Fourth of July theme before advancing to be approved to the final lineup area. Entries that are not decorated WILL NOT be accepted into the parade
  • FINAL LINE UP AREA: This will be the traditional designated final line up area located on the east side of the High School. All Entries must enter through the west side and will be granted access into the final line up area once decorations are completed.
  • ALL ENTRIES: Please be in the final lineup area by 8:00 am.
  • EQUINE: Equine group entries will stage at the Granbury Church of Christ across from the high school. If your entry consists of only 2-3 horses, you will be placed in the float category instead of equine. 
  • ANIMALS/EQUINE: All entries with animals or equine MUST provide clean up along parade route
  • VEHICLE GROUPS: New for 2024, all vehicle groups will be limited to 4 vehicles. (Ex: Jeep groups, Corvette groups, etc)
  • PARADE NUMBER: Each entry will be given a laminated number on the day of the event that corresponds to your spot in the lineup as well as the announcement reading. There will be two announcement locations, so please ensure that the laminated numbers are prominently displayed for the announcers to see.
  • ENTRY FEES: All entry fees must be paid before July 4th 2024 to ensure your participation!
  • REFUNDS: A completed registration and payment of fees is your commitment to show. NO refunds will be made for cancellations or removal for cause. 
WAIVER: 
By participating in the Granbury Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade, I do hereby release, hold harmless and forever discharge the Granbury Chamber of Commerce, Inc., its sponsors; the City of Granbury, Hood County, and the Granbury Independent School District from all demands, claims or actions for damages in any manner arising out of my participation in this event and will indemnify them from any damages or injuries arising or occurring from my participation in the parade.  I understand that this release is binding upon myself and all participants of my group, float or organization, and I have informed each member of my group, float or organization of this wavier and release, by their participation in the Granbury Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Hometown Parade, they too have agreed to the terms of this waiver and release as though individually signed by each member. The parade committee accepts NO responsibility for false statements made by applicants or participants.

ENTRY GUIDELINES FOR PARADE APPLICATIONS: 
No entry will be considered for acceptance if not decorated in a Fourth of July spirited theme. No entry will be considered for acceptance unless accompanied by all required forms and fees. Please note the following safety guidelines observed for the event: By submitting my application and payment below, I commit to participate in this year’s Hometown 4th of July Celebration in Granbury, TX. I further acknowledge & certify that I have correctly filled out the parade application and read ALL parade entry guidelines & hereby agree to abide by them.
