"Pre-Eclipse Star Party" April 6, 2024 at Acton Nature Center, 7:30-11:00 p.m.

Texas Master Naturalist, Rio Brazos Chapter, and Acton Nature Center will host a Pre-Eclipse Star Party beginning at 7:30 pm, Sat., April 6, 2024, at Acton Nature Center. This is a free, family-friendly public event – all ages welcome; a wonderful learning experience for children and adults alike!

Members of the Fort Worth Astronomical Society and Hood County Amateur Astronomers will focus their telescopes on stars, planets, and other wonders of the night sky in more detail than the naked eye allows. You can wander among the telescopes and have their operators assist you in viewing the sky through their scopes.

You may come and go as you please. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and closed-toe shoes. No flashlights, please. There will be appropriate lighting to facilitate walking while preventing night blindness from white light.
