This program is joint effort between Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Research and the Lake Granbury Watershed Partnership. Rainwater harvesting is a great way to capture and utilize water that is normally lost to runoff. The process collects rainwater, stores it and allows it to be used when needed, lessening the demand on existing water supplies, which is especially critical in these times of drought.
Participants in the class will learn about the benefits of rainwater harvesting and other conservation methods, as well as how to build an effective system. For more information or to sign up, call the Hood County Extension Office at 817-579-3280.
