"Rumors"

Join the Weatherford College fine arts department for a production of “Rumors” Nov. 16-19 in the Alkek Fine Arts Center theatre. Showtimes for the farce are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Doors open a half hour prior to show time, and admission is free. This production is rated PG-13 for language.

Set in a lavish New York townhouse in the summer of 1990, “Rumors” is a rapid-fire, madcap comedy by award-winning playwright Neil Simon (“The Odd Couple,” “Barefoot In The Park”).

Four couples come together to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their dear friends, Charley and Myra Brock. The only trouble is that Charley has accidentally shot himself and Myra is nowhere to be found. As tensions rise, marriages and relationships are tested in the brilliant and funny way that Simon is known for.
