Tarleton Summer Studio presents "Steel Magnolias"

Celebrating its 19^th season, the Theatre at Tarleton’s Summer Studio will present six performances of Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias, at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center workshop theatre on the Tarleton State University campus.
 
The Tarleton workshop theatre transforms into a beauty parlor in Chinquapin, La., for the story of Steel Magnolias, directed by Associate Professor of Fine Arts Mark Holtorf.  Made popular by the 1990 movie starring Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Darryl Hannah, Dolly Parton, Olympia Dukakis and Shirley McClaine, the play follows the lives and friendships of a group of southern women.
