“To be or not to be” at the Alkek Fine Arts Center this weekend, that is the question. And the answer is a resounding, “Yes!” The Weatherford College Fine Arts Department will present William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”.
Director James Brownlee calls “Hamlet” the most iconic work of literature in the English language. “It’s definitely Shakespeare’s masterwork,” he said. “The play talks about the human condition unlike any other, and for that reason, it has influenced so much playwriting and literature since then. Our summer production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” was very successful, and I’m hoping that “Hamlet” will be a bigger draw since it’s so well known.”
