GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Therapeutic Intervention Counselor has the primary responsibility for conducting counseling sessions for children who have been abused, as well as their protective family members.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with CAC staff to effectively coordinate referrals & schedule counseling appointments.
• Utilize evaluation and assessment This position works directly with alleged child victims and their non offending family members, law enforcement, DFPS, prosecution, along with other multidisciplinary team members. Must be willing to be trained in the specialized field of forensic interviewing and family advocacy. The FI/FA must also understand the purpose and function of the Paluxy River Children's Advocacy Center and be knowledgeable of existing policies and procedures. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday but must be available
