CHAMBER’S YOUNG PROFESSIONALS PARTNER WITH GHS CTE, CHRISTIAN BROTHER’S AUTOMOTIVE AND FUNKY MUNKY SHAVED ICE FOR “ADULTING 101: BASIC CAR MAINTENANCE”

The Granbury Young Professionals are bringing basic car maintenance tips and free shaved ice, compliments of Funky Munky Shaved Ice, to Granbury High School students. The GYP’s “Adulting 101” series continues to connect business leaders with young professionals, this time including the Career, Technology & Engineering (CTE) students of Granbury High School.

“The “Adulting 101” series has been extremely popular with the young professionals,” shares Rachael Derrez, Director of Membership & Events with the Granbury Chamber. “Our committee wanted to extend our reach of mentorship to include the students of Granbury High School. As a strong supporter of our youth, Christian Brother’s Automotive immediately said “yes!” to the opportunity of partnership with GISD. And of course, a FREE shaved ice for all GHS students who attend, compliments of Funky Munky Shaved Ice, is an added bonus to the great content!”

Registered attendees will receive light refreshments and one FREE shaved ice at the event, being held at the Granbury High School CTE building on May 18th, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. To register, visit granburychamber.com and click on the “Adulting 101” icon. Admission is $15 for chamber members, $25 for non-members, and FREE for GHS students, who are asked to please bring their student ID.

Christian Brothers Automotive is sponsoring the food and bringing goodie bags for the first 48 guests. Stonewall Title Company asks guests to please bring canned food for Ruth’s Place Food Pantry, and anyone doing so will be entered to win a special door prize.
