The Granbury Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Captain Kirk’s Tiki Cruises to Granbury, with cruises anticipated to start in mid-April.
“We believed that Granbury is the perfect location for a company such as ours,’ shares Kirk Grable, President of Captain Kirk’s Tiki Cruises. “The town is centered around lake activities and we wanted to contribute fun and family memories for residents and visitors. We want everyone to enjoy the time they spend with us. Once they leave land and step foot on our boat for the cruise, we want them to leave their worries behind. Come have a great time and enjoy.”
Grable plans for three separate cruises per day. A 10:00AM cruise, 2:00PM afternoon cruise, and of course a sunset dinner cruise. Passengers will be able to bring their own snacks and beverages including alcohol in their own cooler. Cruises will launch from the Mesquite Pit dock, where passengers will be able to conveniently place to-go orders to enjoy on their voyage.
“After speaking with Visit Granbury and determining that this was a need in our community, the Chamber went to work on finding the perfect boat tour for our community,” says Shea Hopkins, VP of Economic Development for the Granbury Chamber. “Since our initial conversation in September, the Chamber has worked alongside Mr. Grable to identify strategic partners and make key introductions, ensuring “smooth sailing” into the launch of his business.”
Grable hopes to hire a few additional personnel for deckhands. Most of the staff will be trained Coast Guard approved Captains. Initial planning includes themed cruises for July 4th and Halloween, with the season starting after April 18th and running through October.
