(Granbury, TX) The Granbury Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is pleased to announce Brian Bondy, IOM, as the new President & CEO, effective April 1, 2021. Bondy was President of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce, prior to accepting the position.
While in Conroe, Bondy helped grow the chamber’s financial position with a combination of special event and membership development. He helped establish the “Chamber to DC” fly-in program in 2018 where members of the chamber visited Texas Senators and Representatives in our nation’s capital as well as agencies including Energy, Health & Human Services, SBA, and others. In 2020, the chamber was elevated from a 3-Star Accredited chamber to a 5-Star Accredited Chamber by the US Chamber of Commerce.

Bondy has been a part of chamber of commerce work in Texas and Missouri for over 25 years serving as a volunteer, committee member, committee chair, board member, and board officer.
As President of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, Bondy initiated the “shining Stars Under 40 program that led to the development of San Marcos’ Young Professionals group that now boasts almost 40 members. As President of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, he led the redevelopment of the chamber’s building and site overseeing the construction of two buildings totaling 15,000 square feet and building a pro forma that included lease space for businesses.
Bondy has been a Rotarian for almost 20 years having served as club president in both Kerrville and San Marcos and is also a Paul Harris Fellow. Bondy graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned the Institute of Organization Management (IOM) designation from the US Chamber of Commerce Institute.
Brian and his wife Jean have two adult daughters, Lauren who teaches in the Mansfield ISD, and Erin who is in graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis. In their spare time, the Bondys enjoy touring wineries in Texas and across the country.
