The 38th annual Shaw-Kemp Open House, a celebration of history, bluebonnets and a walk back in time. Come see the Log Cabin built in 1856 by Thomas Jefferson Shaw. The cabin received a Texas Historical Marker in 1982. Other restored buildings include the 1918 Shaw-Kemp Ranch House, Mt. Nebo School, Church, Grocery Store, Post Office, Barber Shop and Sheriff's Office. Visitors are encouraged to bring snack foods and cold drinks. No Alcohol is allowed.
