WC Presents Dr. J. Brooks Flippen

Dr. J Brooks Flippen, will speak about his Jim Wright biography “Speaker Jim Wright: Power, Scandal, and the Birth of Modern Politics” . Flippen has a master’s degree in American History and PhD in twentieth century American political history. He is currently a professor at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Flippen has spoken at a number of organizations, including NPR and the Nixon Presidential Library, and has written numerous books including, “Nixon and the Environment,” Jimmy Carter, the Politics of Family and the Rise of the Religious Right,” “Conservative Conservationist, Russell E. Train and the Emergency of American Environmentalism.”
